SUMMARY:Rant 7th June
DESCRIPTION:Brighton Ceilidh Collective present Rant with caller Andrew Bra
 dstreet\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFriday 7th June  7.45pm - 11pm.One Church\, Glouces
ter Place\, Brighton BN1 4AA\n\n\n\nPlease note. Dancing starts at 8.00pm.
There is a bar serving drinks that include an ale.\n\n\n\nOur ceilidhs are
for newcomers and experienced dancers alike. Our callers pride themselves o
n making first-timers welcome on the dance floor. They’ll tell you exactl
y what you need to do.\n\n\n\nCome alone or with friends. Don’t worry if
you don’t have a partner for dances that need one. Just stick up your han
d and it’s our caller’s job to find you someone to dance with.\n\n\n\nI
t’s important to us that our ceilidhs are inclusive. The people who come
to our dances are lovely – at least we think so. Please read our Welcome
to Rant - also included below.\n\n\n\nPLEASE BRING YOUR TICKET WITH YOU\, E
ITHER PRINTED OR ON YOUR PHONE\n\n\n\n[tt-event url='https://www.tickettai
 lor.com/checkout/new-session/id/4161618/chk/fd3a/?ref=website_widget&show_s

 ill='false' show_logo='false' inherit_ref_from_url_param='' ref='website_wi
 dget']\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFAQ\n\n\n\nWho's welcome?\n\n\n\nEveryone! Our ceilid
hs are gender-free and inclusive. Our caller will talk you through each dan
ce\, so it doesn't matter if you've never been to a ceilidh before. \n\n\n\
nCan I bring the kids?\n\n\n\nWe recommend 12+ for our ceilidhs.\n\n\n\nWho
are Brighton Ceilidh Collective?\n\n\n\nWe're a group of friends who've be
en putting on public ceilidhs in Brighton for ten years. We believe that ce
ilidh is a great way of bringing people together\, friends and strangers\,
in a joyful environment. \n\n\n\nHelp. I can't come. Can I refund my ticket
s?\n\n\n\nAs our Ts & Cs say\, our tickets are not refundable\, but if you
know you can't come let us know as soon as you can and we'll try and refund
your ticket. We're always trying to keep prices down for Rant so we HAVE t
o sell out to make these events work. That means we can only offer partial
refunds if we manage to re-sell your tickets before the event.\n\n\n\nWelco
me to Rant – please read.\n\n\n\nRant\, and all other Brighton Ceilidh Co
llective events\, are set up to be fun\, friendly and welcoming social spac
es for everyone.\n\n\n\nWe don’t have many rules\, but the ones we have a
re important. The main rule is to make sure you and everyone else enjoys th
emselves. We want everyone to feel safe and happy at our events. Cheesy as
it sounds\, one of the things we love most is to see everyone grinning help
lessly as they dance around the floor…\n\n\n\nWe have gender-neutral call
ing\, so anyone can dance with everyone\, at any time. Note that even if yo
u come along with a partner\, some dances will involve changing partners.\n
\n\n\nMost people come to Rant to dance – that’s what it’s for. Some
people like to chat and socialise too\, but not everyone. We ask that every
body respects each other’s personal wishes in this regard.\n\n\n\nIt goes
without saying that we also don’t tolerate any inappropriate behaviour o
r insulting language. We know our lovely Ranters are better than that\, but
if anyone witnesses anything un-Rantlike\, or feels something is not right
\, please let us know.\n\n\n\nIt’s also the case that not everyone will w
ant to\, or be able to\, do every move within a dance. That’s fine\, and
no one should feel they’re being pressured into doing anything they feel
uncomfortable with.\n\n\n\nSome dances\, or some moves\, can be quite fast
or physically demanding – so make sure you and the person you are dancing
with are OK with that before you start the dance. It’s not OK to push or
pull people around while dancing. Some people don’t like to be lifted or
wildly swung\, either\, so please bear that in mind too. You can always ad
apt any of the steps or moves to suit yourselves. Feeling good is more impo
rtant than dancing perfectly.\n\n\n\nBasically\, look out for one another\,
keep each other safe\, and have the best time you’ve ever had.\n\n\n\nBr
