Brighton Ceilidh Collective present Rant with host caller Heather McAslan

Friday 2 September  7.45pm – 11pm.

Please note. Dancing starts at 8.00pm. Friendly caller. Good bar.

Our ceilidhs are for newcomers and experienced dancers alike. Our callers pride themselves on making first-timers welcome on the dance floor. They’ll tell you exactly what you need to do.

Come alone or with friends. Don’t worry if you don’t have a partner for dances that need one. Just stick up your hand and it’s our caller’s job to find you someone to dance with.

It’s important to us that our ceilidhs are inclusive. The people who come to our dances are lovely – at least we think so.

Please note. Please avoid spreading Covid. If you think you or any of your recent contacts may have contracted Covid, we ask you not to attend our event. See our Terms and Conditions.

frequently asked questions

Is it OK to come on my own?

Absolutely. Don’t worry if you don’t have a partner for dances that need one. Just stick up your hand and it’s our caller’s job to find you someone to dance with.

I love the idea of it, but I don't know any dances

Don't worry! There are always newcomers in the room. Our callers explain each dance step and each dance before the music starts.

What do I need to bring?

It can be hot work, dancing. We always supply water, but it's not a bad idea to bring a bottle of your own to fill. You might also want to bring a change of t-shirt.

Do I need to print my ticket?

No, but it can be helpful. When you buy a ticket - or tickets - the name of the ticket buyer and the number of tickets you've bought will be on the door. Don't worry if you can't all turn up at once. Just make sure you have added the names of your guests to the other tickets when you buy them
